HOW IT ALL BEGAN.

Hi! I’m so glad you stopped by! My name is Leslie and I’m the owner and lead designer at Salt Home. I have been married to my wonderful husband Marcus for 7 years and have 2 wonderful little boys, Hudson and Knox.

From a very young age, I remember my mom redecorating one room in our house every year. She would see a picture in a magazine, or something on TV, that would spark an idea and she went with it. To be sure we found the perfect color for the wall, we'd bring home no less than 10 sample cans of paint from the store. Sometimes, we would have to go back and get more if she wasn’t completely satisfied.

We would go to the thrift stores and antique auctions to see if we could find unique furniture and accessories to transform the room. It was what we did. It was our thing. So, I guess you can say design is something that runs deep in me.

I have spent the last 10 years dabbling here and there in design and redecorating our own homes and those of friends and family. My husband, Marcus, and I remodeled his first home and have built 2 more since. With more and more friends and family members reaching out for help, I decided it was time to do this professionally. This is definitely a dream come true for me and I can’t wait to help you with your space!
